Dave DJ’d our New Years Eve Wedding on 12/31/2022. From the initial contact emailing him he was extremely easy to work with. He replies fast and is straightforward with his packages and pricing. I was never confused on what I was booking and he provided all the details. As the wedding neared closer he maintained contact with us, making sure all was well for payments, song requests, everything. It was great knowing he had done several weddings and events at the Empire Room before so I felt great knowing he knew the space. When the big day finally came he and his EmCee did an extraordinary job. Especially on a big holiday like New Year’s Eve – Dave delivered! Dave is such an amazing DJ! With the wide variety of music we like, I was worried that it would be hard to find a DJ that was able to have the perfect playlist. Dave exceeded our expectations and was able to keep the dance floor going all night! Our night didn’t go seamlessly, we originally had the DJ equipment set up outside on the deck but it got cold and windy quickly! Dave pulled me aside and asked how I felt about moving the dance floor inside to make sure everyone was able to continue to dance and have a good time but ultimately he was willing to do whatever I wanted. When I began my search for DJ’s I started at the regular bridal fairs where places like Complete Music were offering their services. I knew that I had been to weddings they did before and I just felt that there was something majorly missing. If you’re looking for a DJ, look no further! Dave was our wedding DJ and he did an amazing job. He arrived early and made sure everything was setup and running well. He put lights up around Bella Terre which added to the ambiance of the venue. The MC talked with me to make sure he had all the pronunciations of the names correct and kept everything on track. Our first dance was absolutely perfect with Dave’s fog machine and gave us some of the best pictures of the wedding. The way the fog hung around the floor and the way my wife’s dress kicked it up was amazing. After dinner we played a dollar game to see who at the table had to go get everyone drinks. Then the dance floor came alive. The music, lights and fog machine were perfect. It was easy for anyone to make requests for specific songs. He had a nice mix of slow and fast songs and kept the dance floor going all the way until the end of our reception.

Excellent DJ and lighting service. Dave traveled to Lincoln for our May 20th wedding. Also provided amazing venue lighting. This wasn’t just the ‘standard’ wedding lighting, where they have cheap lights on a truss above the dj booth, Dave had ambient lighting throughout the entire venue, up-lighting that moved across the ceiling, other various lights around the dance floor, haze and fog machines – it was way beyond any wedding lighting setup I’ve ever seen. Dave also communicated extremely well with us throughout our entire wedding planning process and never had any problems with our dozens of music changes leading up to our big day. My wife and I had met through music, so the music was extremely important to us. And, it’s hard picking that 1 perfect song, so we changed our minds over and over again and that was never an issue with Dave. Also, if you’re wedding planning; request to have Felix MC your wedding.
